Places like JBC are becoming more than rare. Rare, meaningful, authentic people serving people from all walks of life, in a beautiful place, serving wonderful food and caring for more than just your patronage. We need more places like this for all of us. Make time to go, meet them, enjoy the beautiful lake and surroundings, breathe, reset spiritually... and then stay connected throughout the year with this community. You will be happy you did.

Our Lady of Lourdes St. Laurent Shrine
I’m not Catholic, so this site holds no spiritual value to me personally, but I think it’s worth visiting once. An interesting piece of Saskatchewan history and culture. Because I was an interloper at the site, I think I’ll only go there once though and leave it to those who have a personal connection to it.

Calgary Alberta Temple
In architecture, the temple stands out. Lots of parking space for its teeming membership; young and old, rich and upcoming. I haven’t had the opportunity to worship with them so I am unable to comment about the balance. However, I must say the ambience is great and adds credence to the quality of people who worship there.
